Passenger side mirror popped and gone!

I was waiting for a left arrow and began inching forward and I heard a pop and crash. No collision, a truck had passed by but not close. Mirror did not fold, but the mirror is gone. There are some loose wires hanging out. The housing is intact without dents or scratches.

So I have 2 questions.

1. Has this happened to anyone else.

2. Can I order the part, plug in the wires and pop the new one in myself.

I suspect the answer to 2, is no chance. That'll be at least 3 hours of work for a porsche tech!

I sure would consider that a warranty issue....tho you might get a little resistance!

Should be straight forward to fit yourself, just check that wire connectors are intact. Order new from parts department, connect wires and should just clip back in.
