I read something somewhere on this forum a while ago about allocations and selecting PEC/ED delivery. I can't remember what exactly it was, so I'll try to say what I remember... Is there something about selecting one of these PEC/ED delivery methods that allows you to notify all dealerships about your order? I think the comment was something about how it's worth getting this delivery because it'll notify all dealerships (in the US?) about your order so you'll be able to find an allocation fast. Does anything like this sound remotely familiar?

Have not heard anything like that and as far as I know there is no European Delivery for US Taycan.

The only choices you have for PEC is either Los Angeles or Atlanta and you still have to find dealership that has the allocation yourself to put in the order.

You might be referring to my thread...here's some clarifying info:

There is no Euro Delivery for Taycan like there is for other Porsche models. PEC Delivery is available for people in the U.S. (though I believe other countries may have similar programs).

There is PEC Atlanta or Los Angeles Delivery. PEC (Porsche Experience Center) Delivery is a cost option on the configurator that lets you take delivery at one of the two PEC centers. It doesn't 'notify' dealers or change how fast you get an allocation. In fact, you first need an allocation to be able to submit your order and even select PEC Delivery. PEC Delivery probably adds 4-6 weeks to your lead-time, as they can only do so many deliveries per week. Adding PEC changes the boat on which your Taycan travels...as it changes the Port to which your Taycan arrives (unless your dealer is near PEC anyways, then the boat/port would likely be the same as if you were to take dealer delivery).

PEC Delivery comes with a 1.5 hour track session in a similar vehicle, included gourmet lunch (which is really awesome), and a VIP overview of your new car. It's a great experience. We've done it twice and will 100% do it again for the next Porsche we order.

A benefit of PEC is that it allows you to order from basically any dealer and take delivery in ATL or LA. So, if I'm in SoCal but find a Taycan allocation on the East Coast...my purchase is facilitated through that dealer, but I physically take delivery in LA, thus saving on shipping costs.

If you're after an allocation and would like to place an order demand, you're welcome to PM me, and I can connect you with an SA who may be able to help. If you have any other questions about PEC, I have some experience with the program, so I'd be happy to clarify. I have a PEC brochure from a while back, but it's a very large file, so difficult to upload here. If you'd like to see it, let me know.

Hope this helps!

Ohh, I think this was it. I misremembered. Thank you for the clarification. I can get an allocation anywhere and have it delivered there. That's what it was, thanks.
