My charger plug 14/50 plug has been replaced as part of the previous recall on the portable changer.

The main plug is not overheating anymore but my car went in error during charge at 100% many times.
I realized that the connector J1772 overheat and was at 120 Fahrenheit as the garage temperature was at 70. Something was wrong and I taught the car had an issue.
I opened up the plug and realized that one pin overheat as the color changed a bit a the cable isolation did not liked it.

I re-clamp the pin and the issue is gone as I can charge normally. The temperature is less that 100 degree now.

Just in case you had the same issue.

Actually, this is the third charger, and the cable has the right gauge. Tired of it and the re-clamping is working.

added this thread to the master FAQ documenting the 4+ year history of the level of awesome that is Porsche EVSE's - hint: they suck and lack any hint of awesome - in fact they are the opposite of awesome - and can clearly be ranked as problematic.
