Poor Satellite Radio Reception

My two cents:

• There really is no solution short of replacing the antenna and adding something to the roof of the car, which no one has actually said they would consider doing.
• It is really not bad. I experience maybe one dropout a week more than I did with my previous car. I suppose if you live in an area where satellite radio reception is already dicey, I would test drive it again with the radio on a route that you know presents challenges to your cars today and see if you can tolerate it.

Bottom line, if satellite radio reception is really important to you, I don't think that you should buy this car thinking that it will improve. It won't.

Understood. Also, while on the topic of SiriusXM… I noticed that on my test drive the channels were not numbered – It was just one big long list of channel names, but no number next to them. Is that an option that can be toggled on or off? I would love it ON! Easier to know where you are in the channel line up

Sirius XM reception is POOR, especially under trees
I wish Porsche would address this issue in future designs

Consider using the Sirius XM app and playing via Bluetooth

Same issue with my 911/992 in heavily wooded areas. Not so much of an issue with my other Porsches.

Funny - been wondering if others had the same trouble. I also get a warning on the screen to "check my satellite antenna" - been looking for it....hmmmm....don't think I have one.

noticed this right away coming from the Panamera GTS.....reception is way worse in Taycan

I have this issue. Dealer said it is likely due to antenna placement. I asked if they have a new part to plug into the car but rather than install it, simply secure it on the car, like taping the antenna to the roof. Not as a fix but to rule out anything else other than location as the issue. They agreed. Parts been ordered.
