On bad roads and in fast corners it makes a huge difference.
The auto lift to enter/exit is also a very nice feature for us older folks.
As said above you cannot disable it.

No clue.

However it is not because active ride needs 800V power that it consumes a lot during normal driving. But because the reaction time of the system is very low it needs a lot of power when it does intervene.

This was discussed some time ago on another thread but the impact on range is very little - a couple of miles - and should be the last thing on your mind.

PAR has c. 1% impact on range: -3 miles combined, -5 miles city (per UK configurator)
