Porsche Platinum Extended Warranty pricing

I'll be buying my low milage MY20 Taycan 4S next month when my lease ends and will need to do the CPO.

1. What is the difference between a CPO warranty and a Platinim warranty?
2. Are there different CPO warranties with different benefits?
3. What is the difference in cost between the CPO warranties and Platinum warranty?

Pulled the trigger on a Porsche platinum 60k/96m $250 deductible warranty. As suspected, got a wide range of pricing from the F&I dept at four dealerships I queried. Highest was $5300+ for a 60k/84M (didn’t ask about the 96M at that point because of the cost). Another dealer offered $4,995 for a 60k/96M. Settled on $3,648 and got the feeling that if I really “beat the bushes” across a dozen or so dealers I could have ground it down a bit more. Anyway, happy with my choice as this now expires at the same 8 year mark as the battery warranty.

I was told that Porsche does not offer an extended warranty/vehicle service contract for new Taycans. That's why the dealerships are selling the JM&A/Fidelity product.

But then there is the Porsche website:

And also this thread that suggests Porsche IS selling their own extended warranty?

Could someone clarify/elaborate?

Does the 60k/98m extended warranty stack on top of the original factory warranty, or does it replace it such that the total is 60k and 98 months?

It replaces the original in that it starts from a zero odometer and the original purchase date.

I do hate the BS 'wording' from dealerships (brand independent) - feels disrespectful to customers imo as it should simply be stated that you can pay an additional $3650-5300 for an extension of your already purchased 4 year/50K mile factory powertrain warranty to change it to a ca. 8 year warranty/60K warranty.

So from the example above, $3648-5300 for a 4 year powertrain extension but weirdly only an extra 10k miles.

Entirely get/understand a platinum warranty comes with certain benefits etc. but a bit of plain-speak would go a long way here!

It’s a complete extension of the coverage provided by the original 4yr/50k warranty.

The original warranty covers the battery for 8 yrs/100k miles. The extended warranty does not.
