Fair point, do you have an example of an EV manufacturer that requires a paid subscription just to view basic state of charge info in the app?Hm... the mileage of that statement will vary tremendously.
Agree on the remote monitoring for charging. Just seems that should be included as a free service as it is with Tesla/Rivian and others.Primary usage for me is remote cabin pre-conditioning (defrost or re-cool the car before setting off), setting timers (related to pre-conditioning, also charging), and monitoring charging (e.g. was on a trip this past weekend, was AC charging at a hotel, car informed me charging stopped after a few minutes - tried a couple more times, ended up having to move to a different plug - without the app, I wouldn't find out till morning that the AC charging was unsuccessful, also useful when monitoring DC charging).
I believe that is correct. Mine is a J1.1, so only 3 years which recently ended. 10 years was probably a smart move, people feel more annoyed when paid services don't work. If it's free, well, you get what you pay for it.Didn't Porsche Connect receive a boost across all new models last year with a standard 10 year service contract rather than 3?
On Feb. 19, my 22 Taycan's online radio suddenly stopped working. Error message is that this service needs to be registered on My Porsche. All other Connect services continue to work.Hmm.... now that I'm paying monthly, Spotify seems to be complaining that I must register with MyPorsche. Nowhere on the iPhone MyPorsche app can find this registration. Anyone know where it is? Now that they have dropped their web based MyPorsche, did they forget to add it to the app? Or is it hidden under some secret menu?
for 2026... 2025 is 3 years.Didn't Porsche Connect receive a boost across all new models last year with a standard 10 year service contract rather than 3?
Nope.for 2026... 2025 is 3 years.

Or maybe you are just being pedantic on 2026 vs MY26.
