New the forum but been lurking on here for a while. I know this is a long shot at best, but I finally found a Taycan with all the options I want, except it has the Black/Chalk Two Tone Leather interior. I've got kids so the caulk interior is low on the list for me, and plus I've always been partial to black interiors. With that being said, not even sure how big of a job this would be and/or if its even worth it, but I figured its at least worth throwing out there

The interior configuration is as follows for reference:
Under 3000 miles
[QW0] Black/Chalk, Leather Seat Trim W/Two Tone Leather Interior
[Q2J] 14 Way Power Seats W/Memory Package w/ Front Seat Ventilation via the [P4A] Premium Package
[5KA] Rear 2+1 Seats
[4A4] Front & Rear Seat Heating

I'm also open to the 18-way seat interior swap on this. I know there is either a love or hate relationship with the 18-way seats, but the 18-way seats actually fit me better... I've read on Rennlist the actual seat swap is pretty easy, PCM just need to be recoded at the dealer to recognize which seat is installed.

I'm located on the central coast of California, so could travel to northern or southern CA to make this happen ?

Best to talk to an upholstery shop for pricing. You can get the skins from Porsche and have the shop install them. The skins are not cheap.

here's just the bottom cushion for one of the front seats.
Cushion Cover
Porsche 9J1881406S21U
SPORT SEAT, SEAT CUSHION, w/o ventilation, w/leatherette, black, Right
$1,059

Or just get a set of these and be set for $29

The only way it would make since financially, as well as keeping the cars value would be a swap. Covers :CWL:, paint , re-upholstery? not worth it. Was also looking at just ordering a Taycan to my spec, but as everyone knows on here, delivery / completion timelines are questionable at best right now.

I had white leather when my kids were 4 and 5 and didn’t have any problems. They were sitting in child seats anyway. And for the Taycan only the centre piece is white. Worst would be a light color of the back of the front seats. That’s where most of the staining happens with little feet.

Or you could see how it works out and do the switch if really necessary.

You'll save a lot of money and probably enjoy the result more and have better resale value if you just get the leather treated for stain protection. I had my two tone leather interior treated at a detailing shop over a year and a half ago and have not had any discoloration after 20,000 miles and many, many people in my Taycan. The black leather is in your line of sight, and on the backs of the front seats where your children will kick them (at least with the Olea leather). The beige leather in the rest of the interior gives it a more uplifting, expansive, and upscale feel.

Funny. I was on the hunt for black/chalk interior, but just purchased (today) an all black interior. I’ve never heard of an interior swap before and was planning to do some other modifications to the interior to make it more my liking. Far less costly.

Standard black
Premium package with 14-way seats
Heated, ventilated, and massaging
Rear 2+1

Can you have your leather stained a darker color?

Staining is not a good option, as the leather is already finished, so wont except the stain well, and honestly wouldn't want anything other than OEM

Yes, I think I'll just pull the trigger and see how I like Black/Chalk interior, I'm sure it will grow on me... and in the mealtime if anyone wants to try a swap I'll be still be open to the all black interior ?

Black/Chalk interior is gorgeous, you will like it. I've had light blue denim staining on it, but it comes right off with a good leather cleaner.
