I just bought a 2023 Cross Turismo 4S and previous owner had a Premium Package which should have Soft Close Doors based on the current Porshe build configurator. For some reason in my car not a single door works as soft close.

Do you know if there is a difference between 2023 and 2025 Premium package?

Is it possible that 2023 Premium was without soft close?

Thanks.

MY25 only and never an option prior since 2019.

Whenever looking up the contents of a package, you must always match the model year, Taycan trim, and country/region. The contents of a package can change for different model years, and even for different trims, and for different regions. In this case, the soft-close-doors was not even a feature offered before 2025 model year. Another feature, such as motorized steering column adjustment was present in early cars with memory package, but later got moved to GTS and higher trim only.

Taycans are VERY customizable cars. You'd be hard pressed to find two identical ones, except perhaps for some "launch cars" (pre-configured by PCNA) or Porsche Experience Center cars (which get sold as used cars after some time).

If you get your monroney sticker from a dealer or from one of the online services that sells them for a small fee, you can see all the options included in the build. You might even be able to find it on MyPorsche account online (mine is there) once the car is on your account. Also, if car is listed on Porsche Finder, it will be there too.

Yes, I actually purchased the full list of options for the car online and was pleasantly surprised. Previous owner ticked almost every available option. Unfortunately there was no original sticker in the car but I called the dealer who sold him the TCT and got the sticker price too. 176k in 2023. I picked it up for over 50,% less. Crazy depreciation. Lucky me ☺
The option list showed me the Premium Package but for the breakdown I went to the Porsche website. Thanks for your explanation.

Quick note on this (US-specific as the OP is US-based):

  • The original sticker "Monroney sticker" for a vehicle is available for download (as a PDF) in the Porsche Connect App (both iOS and Android now work). This may not be available for older vehicles, but all Taycans should have it available.
  • The sticker typically itemizes options but doesn't show the option codes nor does it show which options are part of a package. For that information you want what dealers call the "build sheet". Any dealer can pull this given a VIN and email it to you. Always ask for this as the first step when considering buying a CPO vehicle. Apart from anything else it signals to the dealer that you know what you're doing.
  • In the Porsche app there is a third view of vehicle options, available in <garage>\<vehicle>\Vehicle Details>\Included Options. Sometimes this view can give you more information on certain options than either the sticker or build sheet.
Of the three the build sheet has the most information (includes the option codes and the package breakdown), which the others don't.
