PSA for NA owners: DO NOT install APA2 update

Took my Taycan in for some minor issues. Advisor mentioned that I am due APA2 update which he called software update to instrument cluster. I figured why not.

Turns out all this update adds is an annoying seat belt warning for the driver. Now the car will do an annoying "ding-dong" every time I start the car, even if it's in Park. I have not experienced this in any other Porsche so I don't know why the Taycan is being singled out.

Oh yikes I hate that. I had it on my Golf R until I used VAGcom or something to disable it. I always belt up, but often do it after I start the car… sounds like there are no active options to reprogram things like this
