Nice color, nice wheels. It is breathtaking and people will often look and occasionally pass a compliment.
You weren't kidding. Not a lot of sports cars in general in my mid-sized SE US city; I get a compliment and a head-turn or two on every grocery run or errand beyond to-and-from work. Not a big attention hog but it's been fun talking to a few people about the car. Loving it so far.

So a month in and the car is outstanding. Zero issues (CarMax repaired pre-existing curb damage to the rim and is replacing the under-bumper plastic black trim piece). I love it. I also have battery anxiety after reading some horror stories, and reading that the battery warranty I thought was good no matter what did not transfer with my car since I purchased from CarMax. I should have learned that prior to purchase. Yikes.

So I called Porsche NA to see what open warranties the vehicle still had attached to the VIN, and there is a battery warranty on the car til April 2030 (which would be 8 years from purchase date by original owner). So either Porsche NA is honoring the factory 8 year/100k warranty despite change in ownership through a non-Porsche certified dealer or private transaction; or the prior owner purchased a separate warranty. The customer service agent couldn't tell me which, just that the VIN had an attached HV battery warranty good til April 2030.... which I made sure to immediately get in writing. Huge weight lifted.

There are ways to void the battery warranty, but where you purchased the car is not one of them. The 8yr/100k battery warranty is a federal law and applies to all EVs sold in the USA.
I sold my previous EV in a private sale, and the remaining battery warranty was transferable to the new owner.

I guess the confusion comes from this bit in Porsche's warranty - that only refers to the 2-year new car limited warranty but says nothing of the battery.

All of the Warranties Described in this Booklet are Subject to the Following Limitations and Disclaimers: New Car Limited Warranty This warranty is given to the owner of a Porsche vehicle distributed by Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (“PCNA”) and sold by an authorized Porsche dealer in the United States.* * Authorized Porsche dealers are not owned by PCNA and are not agents of PCNA

Original warranty stays with the car, not owner. So the original 4year/50k bumper to bumper stays as well as the 8y/100k battery warranty also stays. If the car was CPO, then that get voided if sold from a non porsche or private owner.

Hope you bought the CARMAX extended warranty. It was very reasonably priced, and is through fidelity.
