When you engage Push to Pass, do you feel the additional power come on gradually instead of immediately?

When I hit P2P, there isn’t an instant kick of power. I think the 1 second delay and the linear power delivery are intentional so the driver doesn’t get a sudden surge of power

It gives you the ability to accelerate harder - just pushing the button does nothing itself.

There is a screen on my Turbo that shows power and you should see the additional 70kW boost there.

It even works at autobahn speeds >200km/h :)

do you have a picture of that screen showing the additional 70kw?

Push it while your foot is down.

Yes, Ive done that, same result. When I did this 60-130 pull, I had to start at 40mph to compensate for the delay

You're going 142 and not passing the people on the right very quickly :\.

Depending on the mode there may be a delay as it kicks down to 1st gear. At 40mph though, I would expect it to already be in 1st.

62mph is the shiftpoint when full throttle, now its 71mph post tune.
In Sport Plus, I deliberately took off in 1st gear, at 40mph factoring in wheel spin and the Attack Mode delay

I can't really test the delay locally, because my powerty spec car does not have push to pass.

However, Marc's (MapEV USA) does, so I guess I can poke him.

That said if you hit it in Normal or Range mode then 100% there is a delay for downshifting.
Test by hitting it in sport - if there is no delay, then that's the gearbox.

That said, your car is slower in attack mode than without it when tuned, so there's not much sense to use it apart from getting the gearbox to kickdown ahead of time.

That video was pre tune so now this delay does not apply.

Now that it's tuned we did a pull in Normal and Sport Plus. The difference was .02 seconds improvement with Sport Plus. Basically no difference.

I know Turbo GT gets all of the power in Launch Control, but the tune has decreased the 60-130mph by almost .2 sec on a roll vs the LC time.
I have to really get the right road, conditions and prep to test if it can get sub 9s in the 1/4mile

The reason for that is because when you go 0-130mph the launch boost times out, so you don't have the power for the pull vs when you do it from a roll with our tune, then you have the power boost the entire time you're doing the pull.

0.2s is massive on a Turbo GT Weissach. With the boost the car has 80-100 PS more compared to without it.
It's all the little things that make the difference ;)

Having the power not locked behind launch control makes the car a lot more fun to drive.

I thought it was full power, not just up to 130 in LC.
If the trap is 150mph in the 1/4mile, shouldn't the tune at least improve the time by at least .1sec?

It definitely makes it more fun!

The J1.2 cars make not only more torque but actually a lot more power when the launch control is active vs when it's not.
The BMS has a higher limit in launch mode.

The launch mode is ~5 seconds from activation. So if you go from a standing start, by the time you're at 100mph or so you drop out of launch mode.

With our tune because the launch mode gets activated at the moment you push the pedal, then you can start it from a roll, as a result you have the boost through the whole 60-130 pull.
That's why it's faster.

On the quarter mile I expect absolutely no improvement whatsoever. The car is not limited in any way by the ASG in launch control stock. Just as the J1.1 Turbo S wasn't.
