Hi, My lease is up Nov 28. Porsche emailed me about a 3rd party inspection up to 60 days prior to lease return.
Does anyone know if I get the inspection now and I am good to go...there's another inspection needed at the time of return?

Reason for asking, my tires are around 5/32 in the rear. If I drive another 6-7 weeks and they happen to dip below 4...I don't want to get dinged for that.

I did a Porsche lease once. The wear (and mileage overrun) was severe enough that I was looking at several thousand on turn in. It felt to me that everything was expected to be in like new condition.

I ended up selling to Carmax instead and ended up slightly ahead in the end.

Just throwing that out there as an option if the charges are bad.

Carmax wants a title in your name though, correct? So you have to buy it out and then sell to carmax-incurring sales tax in PA

I did it on a prior 911 everything went smooth and easy. You will need to buy new rear tires I am guessing.

During a service recall, Porsche found a nail on the center of a rear tire and recommended one tire replacement for ~$1000. I declined and repaired at a tire shop for free.

A couple months prior to lease return, my rear tires were 4/32 and front were 5/32. I didn't want to take the chance so I replaced both rears with identical tires.

My Taycan was is perfect condition, so I was very confident on lease return inspection. I scheduled 3 weeks prior to my lease return with AutoVIN (Porsche 3rd Party Inspector). As expected, my return process was quick and easy.

Ya I've had good experiences with unitedtire online (used tires).

No way I am buying brand new tires to turn in a lease. Based on my measurements, I am at 5/32 in the rear and 6-7/32 in the front.
Have about 8700 miles on the car.
6 weeks left on the lease (with options to extend it 2 more months).
