New to the Taycan so apologies. I did a search but couldn’t see anything specifically related. A 100% charge only show 212 miles range. Is this normal? Hoped for more.

Which Taycan do you have?

If you have a model with the performance battery plus then this range will be correct for UK and current ambient temperatures (cold).

Will improve when the weather is warmer and you should expect around 245 miles.

Note the range reading is an estimate based on various factors: how you drive, ambient temperature, AC usage and so on.

Winter takes its toll on all EVs and the Taycan is no different. As said estimated and actual range will improve when temps climb. Enjoy.

Ha ha - not really...but close!

In general:

• Your personal driving style
• The driving profile
• Traffic conditions
• Temperature and weather
• The vehicle’s condition
• Accessories fitted
• The weight of a load
• Auxiliary systems like air conditioning & heating

No two days will necessarily be the same and if you do lots of short journeys like I do your quoted range next time around will be impacted as a result. Right now I'm seeing consumption of 1.6 kWh / mile which is pretty poor but the distance is 4 miles. If I were using an ICE vehicle my consumption would also be pants and so EVs are no different.

The key metric to follow is your consumption rather than range estimate. With a RWD you should see decent consumption (on average) around 3.0+ mile / kWh (I currently see 2.6 on a GTS ST) - have a look at your Total Trip figure (never reset this) and you'll get a more accurate representation of possible range. Do the math and so PB+ @ 3 mile / kWh should lead to around 3 * 83.9 (net capacity of the PB+ battery) = 251.7 miles (conditions permitting).

I get the best range by turning off all/most accessories, lower the chassis, use Range, and minimize energy use through coasting whenever possible. Use regen only to control speed, and don't waste kinetic energy by braking if at all possible. Regen does not give you 100% of your energy back. 3.6 miles/kw is the best I can do so far, in warm weather in normal use. Winter reduces my range significantly.
