50k after 18 months of use and lots of miles. But happy as I found the perfect car for me! Yes, its expensive, but I have if for pleasure, not for profit. Hopefully this car is a keeper

11 months of ownership and fingers crossed no issues. Had the brake recall and the hold function improved! I enjoy driving it, i'm not a speed freak its more about the handling and the driving experience. First EV, always had company cars since the mid 90's with a sting of Audi A7's from 2011, which were good but nowhere near as good to drive as the Taycan. Deprecation is a concern but i bought mine with the hope/aim to keep it running for a good few years. Will take out warranty extension and try to negotiate a sensible servicing cost. Insurance isn't that bad, we have a 6 yr old V class camper and its a similar cost. Voting yes....

Lost 50K and you're happy with that?
To be fair if you buy a 100k car (based on uk experience) you lose 20%/20k the second you drive it off the forecourt anyway. Cars depreciate and EVs are still early technology so everyone should go in to Taycan ownership expecting huge depreciation.

I did buy again :)
J1 had for 18 months, so many problems I ditched it and bought identical J1.2. No Problems with 1.2 - much more comfortable, no faults, superior suspension, better real range, better app connectivity, remembers my settings on the different drive modes, love the raised suspension when you open a door, and a real joy to drive....what I wanted from the first one! Lost £50k trading in, but it is the best EV!!! Awesome.
I got a MY25 RWD for a week while mine was in for service and it just shuts off completely with almost no brakes at around 45MPH. With the remaining momentum we made it up half way on a parking entrance then it stopped completely. Turned it off then on and it was back to normal. Several days later waiting at a light and when it turned green I stepped on the go pedal and it just shuddered and died with a red warning again. Immediately shut it off and turned it back on and went on my way. Luckily we weren’t on the freeway during both of those incidents. My .1 has never done that to us…knock on wood.

it’s pissing me off again today. App says Error not charging and won’t allow me to precondition again. Proper love hate relationship I have with with this car
I have fallen out of love with mine for sure, drives great but i have so many issues it's not worth the bother!

Think I’d like a ‘probably not’ choice on the poll.

I’ve had a few issues - heater, 22kw charger, some pcm issues etc. But I’ve got most of them turned around within a few days via Porsche assist, which is okay.

What I don’t like particularly is the ridiculous amount of time required to get the car seen if not an emergency eg I’ve booked in for a warranty job and decided to tag a service on. First appointment is 3 months time. It’s crap. So is no reply from things like the smart mobility team etc. no LTE for 3+ months costing me about £100 pm as I can’t benefit from smart charging.
Oh and did I mention the extra ‘advisory’ jobs they tell you about after you’ve taken your car in

Clearly cost of depreciation, parts (and thereby insurance) is very annoying, but it was never an investment so was expecting some (but not all). So if I did buy it wouldn’t be a new one for sure. But I must say, my overall impression of Porsche has been tarnished, in no small part because of the after sales service.

I’ve just renewed warranty for 3 years, so I guess I quite like it still. but if it had held its value a little better, I think I’d be chopping it in for something else (ICE!!!).
I was surprised to hear about your long wait times for service. Here in Muskonia I wait only a few days before going in for regular service. Campaign items are another matter, for example, the brake hoses at the front. I would just call my service rep periodically to check availability of parts, then go in. In still waiting to hear about the battery monitoring software which was supposed to arrive in January, last month. Maybe your long wait times are a kind of regional thing?

I’m sure exacerbated by being in London I guess. Though you could easily argue they should have bigger capacity for areas where they sell the most cars.
Also not sure if it’s a factor that the majority of London (or at least my side of) dealerships are Porsche owned maybe. Dunno, but it’s not good.
In interest of balance, when the car has been in for fixes of things where parts were reportedly in short supply (22kw charger and heater spring to mind) they got things turned around quickly.

I’m just curious if any of you regret buying / leasing your Taycan ?
I’ve got to say as much as I love the car I’m starting to get increasingly annoyed by the crappy quality in some areas, the app that works most of the time but not all of the time (can’t precondition today) and the blatant robbery when it comes to servicing etc, It’s certainly starting to lose its charm.
I don’t think I’d have got one if I knew what I know now.
100% and will buy again great car just love it and to be honest forget depreciation as all cars have that so just enjoy as still the best on the road

Nope.
Not at the price they are charging now.
But hey, got to make sure the Piech and Porsche families don’t hit the breadline.

I love my Taycan, but I do think they've pushed the prices too far away from what I consider to be even remotely half decent 'value' for what you actually get. I appreciate that it's a luxury segment car (I have a Turbo ST after all), but the price of a new one is just a joke, even for the lower models. And the things that makes the Taycan so good on the road, like the PTV+, RWS etc, aren't included int he price of base models, making them even less attractive.

I originally wasn’t sure which way to vote but I’m going to say yes.
My 2021 taycan has just under 50k miles on it, had a couple of heaters replaced under warranty and the usual recalls. It’s in now for a door rattle and lm given a panamera. Now up until the taycan, the only other Porsche I’d driven was a 98 boxster which was terrible. I’m not a fan of the Panamera either.
This one has decent spec and petrol but just feels bland, boring, no spirit.
It hesitates setting off, changing gear etc and I’m now thinking I might have been spoilt with the taycan.
I might just pay the £23k balloon payment on my taycan and keep it until it stops working.

I just did.

My Turbo S is remaining with the business as we move on so I've picked up a MY24 GTS.

Only had the drive home in it so far before I sort out the insurance and change of plates etc but it feels excellent.

Time has forced my hand a bit to jump in here (I've ended up with another jet black one with the crayon interior - happy with the interior again but I'd have taken a Gentian Blue colour if it one had been around)

Initial thoughts are that it's a great position in the range for the value.

I have a MY23 GTS (ST) - be interested to hear how you get on compared with the Turbo-S.
