Rattle from center console control panel [pressing bottom-right corner silences it]

I’m getting a rattle from the center console control panel (the lower touchscreen/trackpad area) even on smooth roads, and pressing down on the bottom-right corner (see attached picture) makes it stop, so it seems like a fitment or clip issue. I haven’t taken it in since I’m out of the standard warranty and in the CPO period, and from what I understand rattles are not covered - plus the dealer charges a $350 diagnostic if they can’t reproduce it (and we all know they won’t ).

Has anyone else run into this and found a fix?

There’s a video on how to remove the nearby cup holder so you can inspect that location for loose fixings if that helps …

I have some bad news for you - the climate touch screens break and something starts to rattle inside with similar symptoms.
Let's hope it's just a clip.
