I have been monitoring real distances coved against range stated. First i do not drive around like a nut case so not a heavy foot issue. Travel to work is 17.9 miles but range used is between 22 miles and 25 miles , this is over 20% difference. I see typically 210 to 230 miles range at 100% , based on real milage this is below 180 real miles. have a 4S with extended battery.

HI - I have been getting 240-250 . Did a 220 trip last week (99% on departure) and had 11% left on arrival - same trip on the way back and same result - Mine is a 93 kw battery CT4

It really seems that how you precondition the battery, what you have on (in particular aircon) and how heavy your foot is make a big deference. If I do all the right things and drive in normal I get around 240. I just got back from a run where I did not precondition, was having fun on the back roads in sport+, did a few launches and my consumption was 2.1 m /Kwh, which means a range of 175 on the big battery. A drop like that is no different to that which I have had with ICE cars.

These comparisons are not scientific enough to be able to gauge. Too many variables at play - SOC, wheels, tyres, AC, seat heating, wind, driving style, ambient temperature, battery temp, no. of passengers, luggage, terrain, gradients and if short journeys will (like an ICE) use more energy in any scenario.

Main thing is that you got to your destination and home again without drama!

I have run an ipace for three years and monitored all my journeys using the jaguar app. The variance on range per journey is huge. At a macro level, winter is easily 20% worse than summer. Cold start, short journeys are terrible. Cruising on a motorway, big variance between speed. Once over 55mph range starts to drop away. Even up versus down hill. Bottom line, the nature of your daily commute will have a significant influence on the range you will achieve. Also, as an aside, never charged to just 80%. Always just plugged in and topped up when wanted to. Over 3 years I would say range actualy improved and zero noticeable degradation. People need to stop worrying about it.

Ya thats exactly what it will do in this weather.
Feb is the coldest month in the UK.

You will loose 20 to 30% of range in the winter.

I've got nearly 3000 miles on mine. I've observed a substantial difference between what the computer reports at full battery (depends on temperature/weather, but usually 230-260 miles) and what the car actually delivers on trips on that day.

Importantly, not a single trip has ever actually hit anything close to the efficiency needed to get to 260 miles range. I have no idea how Porsche then decides to estimate it at 260.
I have checked every single one of the dozen or so longer trips, none got close.

And in town, it's so far away from that number it's not even funny. I mean, the car uses the actual brakes for the first ~2-3 miles, so if you're doing a short hop into town, you're not even getting regen.

Is this "the range you could get in this weather if you drove differently"?

IMHO it's likely that number expects that you minimize AC use (Eco, or not even on), drive like a granny, and avoid any extra weight. It's as fictional as the EPA mpg numbers for the 911.

MY22 4S with performance battery, less than 1k miles so far. Running around town I would get a range of about 230-250 (estimated as I don't let it go much below 20 or above 85% in general). I did a freeway round trip of 50+ miles at the weekend. SOC went from 84 to 66% for 57 miles which suggests over 300 miles for freeway driving.

I've found the actual range (including for loss of charge when the car is doing nothing) is far better than I experienced with my Tesla Model S.
