Rear brakes worn at 33,000 miles

The parking brake is a drum brake in the middle and separate from the disc pads. Shouldn’t need adjustment because they shouldn’t wear much if at all.

True. For those curious about the parking brake, the post linked below has a photo of a service manual page with an illustration. There is one drum brake on each side at the rear. The parking brake does not lock the front wheels. The thread linked below began when a Taycan parked on a snow-covered driveway slid downhill and crashed. The cause appears to be that the weight was mostly over the front wheels at the downhill end of the Taycan, and the parking braked rear wheels uphill didn’t provide enough friction once the Taycan began to slide.

OP: Your car had to have been tracked a fair bit as the TC/Stability systems work the rear brake hard... was it a Porsche Experience car? I'm 20k miles and rears are over 6mm still.

BTW this issue on cars sliding. I live in a hilly area and my neighbor has a very steep driveway (no snow here). She parked her S class on the driveway set the brake and the car slid and screwed up her retaining walls and some other structures and really messed up the car.

For those interested I changed the rear pads and rotors yesterday. I measured the old pads and found them to be 6.22 mm or .244 inches thick. Also I could not find any evidence that the wear sensors had made contact with the rotors to illuminate the warning light I got. I did not have access to a scanner to perform the parking brake adjustments but didn't have any trouble installing the new rotors. I double checked and when applied the parking brake locked the rear wheels.
