The first one was just the nearest car repair place - because it was in the evening, they were all closed and I didn't know where else to tow the car. The next day, it became clear that they wouldn't work with an electric car. Worked with insurance and they found the 2nd place, and paid to get it towed over there. After they received the car and saw the damage, they came back (after more than a week of having the car....) and declared they didn't have the equipment to weld the aluminum frame. Ughh..... So, I had to do some calling around (gave up on the insurance company being useful) and was able to find 2 places in all of Denver that could weld aluminum AND was certified to work on electric cars - guess that's a rare combo these days? Why did u have to go through 3 centers. Mine had the pleasure to take one in the ass too. I hope that the first one is enough. They are part of my insurance network and Porsche certified.
Note.... while the car came back fully repaired, I did continue run into minor annoyances that I kept having to take the car back in for - rear brake light went out once, bad rear brake sensor, etc. After having to take it in for the 5th time to get something corrected, I ended up trading up to a 23 Taycan GTS ST (which I absolutely love!). Good luck with the repairs, and hopefully you have a better experience in the end!
