8yr battery guarantee - 85% is just fine.

Depending on what and where you read Porsche alternates between 85% and 80% as a recommendation.

Splitting hairs. Just enjoy the car.

JimBob summed it up pretty well. Follow what’s written in the owners manual, and be wary of what someone told you. MY ‘22 US Taycans specify 80% for daily use. Seems like ‘20 & ‘21 US Taycans May have specified 85%, based on what has been said on this forum.

Look, I get the whole battery health argument - and understand why charging to 85% is best for the vehicle, however.....

My 2020 E-Tron 50 claims to do 152 miles when fully charged (and its warm....) - and considering it gives me low power mode at around 15-20 miles, IF I only charge it to 85% I have a whopping 100-110 miles usable range. On a full size SUV.
And considering the poor state of UK charging infrastructure, charging mid-trip is a pain!! So I effectively have a 50 mile radius journey I can make in the car. In a full size SUV.

And friends and family wonder why I can't wait to get rid of the car :). If only my GTS ST wasn't still 15-16 months away from delivery....... (sigh)
