That's a good point. I think I'll look into getting the GS60 And GS40 And upgrade the sub

Amp was installed into footwell. It works in tandem with the Bose so I have 2 amps in the car now. The power is INSANE!
Hey Tony,

I'm curious, why did you need to remove the A-pillar? I realized that you were upgrading from the Bose, which has the tweeters on the dash and not on the A-pillar, so I'm confused why those covers had to come off.

You need to remove the A pillars to be able remove the trim to access the Bose tweeters

I see.

Have you completed the install of the rest of the speakers?

Ive been doing some research lately and will go see a car audio shop this weekend. Will keep you posted.

Just installed the Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8. DAM! The bass hits so hard and CLEAN now. Really puts the Bose to shame. Bose was so muddy compared to this. This thing weighs about 3x as much as the bose one, feels really well made

I've got the GS60 Ans GS40 in transit. Should arrive in a few days

Hey @tonycolin ,

The front doors have 2 speakers in them. Do you know what size they are?

thanks for all the help! it was a success. I'm upgrading the speakers and WOW! what a big difference from the bose speakers, the clarity is next level with audiofrogs. I'm going to look into replacing the door speakers now as well.

if anyone is curious I got plug and play speakers from https://www.scrdistribution.co.uk/porsche-taycan-2033-c.asp

I am presuming you needed to remove the A pillar to be able to remove the speaker grille? My speaker grille is making a creaking noise and so I wanted to take it off to see if I can do anything to stop the noise, so am interested whether you needed to take off the A pillar in order to do this?

correct fully plug and play. yes the bose amp is strong enough to power them. i replaced the 2 tweeters and dash speaker with audiofrog 2x GS10 and GS25
I’m gonna have to disagree here.

The BOSE DSP is the biggest piece of shit ever made. It can barely drive the stock speakers.

Yes, your new speakers will work with the BOSE amp. But no doubt they wont be driven to their full potential… Not even close to it.

Dona DSP and tune to your liking. That will make the biggest difference to your audio set up.

The stock BOSE amps arent even that bad, a lot more could be extracted out of them with aftermarket DSP.

maybe its a POS, but it still works and for the average joe thats looking for a small improvement, it works. when i changed the speakers from bose to audiofrog, everything improved, clarity, crispness, depth of sound, etc. regardless, i've since overhauled the entire bose system (amp, subwoofer, all the speakers). i'll make a post about it soon, but for now heres a picture ;)

Any recommendations for an aftermarket DSP which is easy to install with the Taycan Bose?

I am starting my audio upgrade in July. Here is what I'm planning to do:

Helix V12 DSP Amp
Nav-TV Zen-V to connect the DSP amp to the head unit
Audison APBX 10 S4S subwoofer box
Match UP1FX amp to drive the sub
Sound deadening in the floor of the trunk

Like @ct14garage said, I'm not going to change any of the other speakers at this point because I want to see what the Helix DSP can do first. My installer says I may not even want to change the speakers once I hear them properly powered and tuned.

Can't wait for July!

My upgrade is done and you can see more here: Helix + Audison audio upgrade

Overall, really happy with the results. The new DSP amp makes a huge difference in driving the Bose speakers. I'm hearing things I wasn't hearing before in my music. The new subwoofer makes the biggest difference.

The sound is louder, but I may still want more - so not ruling out future upgrades to Bose speakers in the cabin.

Can you tell me where you grabbed the 12v power and remote turn on from.
I can’t seem to get the positive terminal off of the 12v battery.
