Plate Holder Replacement - a $20 fix! - 100% Reversible
Thought I'd re-post this outside my main Mods thread - realize for many this plate holder look is simply not an issue but the OEM plate holder for me really throws off the lines on the rear of the CT and imo is just plain ugly. Just about every other Porsche model has a clean design in this area and the Taycan definitely somewhat 'unique' amongst it's peers!
After a number of design thoughts, some complex, others super simple, I landed on this really cheap fix that I actually think looks spot on. It reveals the diffuser in full which is in part interrupted by the installed OEM plate holder and just simplifies the rear end, a much 'cleaner' look.
Parts are
1) 3" square pole plug ends (4 total, with two being custom cut to fit the upper recess),

2) a can of matt grey spray paint and
3) a can of 'chalky' matt clear coat.
I experimented with number of coats (paint and clear) until I got a really good match to the stock grey of the plastic OEM bumper.
The main plug's rear was modified slightly to fit the tapered openings which are revealed after you remove the OEM plate but other than that, couldn't be a simpler and very quick DIY.
I'm sure others might yet come up with more elegant solutions
- but happy with this.

Here is a side-by-side comparison on my car of the OEM plate holder vs my replacement:
