Resuming shipping from Emdem

My car will ship to PECLA and completed production on July 4, 2022. It hadn’t shipped yet. Does anyone know when shipping will resume?

Is this a California thing I wonder? Someone else can maybe chime in from the US if they've gotten theirs since the strike began. Mine is set it build in 2 weeks with Oct delivery and I was hoping they'd have resolved this issue by now.

My build completed on 7/22 and was supposed to deliver on 8/19. The new date is 11/25. Car is very likely waiting for a 12V battery. Then it needs to hitch a ride on the next vessel. Tough stuff.

I bet they just mean that some people's completed taycans already got them (if they were earlier production), but others have not and are waiting on it. Would make sense if this is a global message to everyone on TYD, including people's who are on the ship already, or maybe the last few that got batteries before waiting on ship

Ah that does make sense. The verbiage is a tad confusing. Makes it seem like specific model vehicles don't need it, by use of the word "certain."

My build was marked as completed 6/24. It supposedly arrived in Emden 6/28 but sat there until last week. The "Arrived Emden Port" date changed from 6/27 to 8/16, which was the same day it got on a vessel. So cars are being shipped, albeit slowly. I don't know if the battery held it up and I got one of the first available to push it out the door or general shipping delays held it up.

It's supposed to arrive in US next week. I don't know if it is missing any parts that would hold up final delivery though.

A lot of us are on the same stage and probably will be on the same "boat" too.
There should be some update on the 12V battery this week. Other place is saying the installation is starting on the week of 08/22/22. So hopefully we will get some movement soon.

I'm on the same boat! from what I understand the 12V issue didn't arise until end June.
The SFL Composer vehicle carrier departed Emden 8 days ago, now near Virginia Beach on its way up to Port Baltimore

Shipping delays can be a hassle, but they're often outside of our control. In the meantime, have you considered looking into different car shipping companies to verify which ones are reputable and offer the best rates?

Why did you revive a seven month old thread about the shipping delays in Emden (due to strikes)? Also when ordering a Porsche, the buyer has zero choice/control over who ships the car and where its shipped out. That's all controlled by porsche.
