Reverse camera lens - small oval

I myself don’t rely much on the reverse camera as I find it nearly unusable.

Exactly - no visible dents or scrapes. Wife did say when she reversed into parking bay, that the car braked hard when reversing into the spot. Does it have brake assist when the car is reversing to avoid hitting the wall? If not, maybe that’s where it hit but no visible marks, scrapes,

Your wife / someone else didn’t try to open the trunk by pushing on the wrong button (your reversing camera lens)? Seems more likely than exactly hitting it when reversing.

automatic braking when reversing onto an object is an option in parking assist. I turned it off because it braked too early when getting in my garage.

This I reckon. The odds of hitting the camera lens only when reversing would be minuscule. Someone has pushed it in. Hard.

My wife would’ve said, unless it was the kids! I don’t suppose the reverse camera records activity to video files I could retrieve and review when the lens narrowed?
