We have a problem with our RWD - inexplicably it sometimes switches to N while driving. This is quite dangerous when you have to accelerate.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Our Porsche Center doesn't even manage to do a complete service in one appointment, last time I had to go there three times. So I doubt they're going to cope with the problem

In US lemon law parlance, what you are describing is a "runability" issue, very analogous to an ICE vehicle that stalls. In most jurisdictions in the US, manufacturers/dealers have one chance to fix runability issues because, as you observed, they can create extremely dangerous, if not life threatening, situations. Imagine attempting a left hand turn in heavy traffic and having the car randomly shift into neutral. Regardless of Austrian lemon law nuances, when you visit the dealer, make sure that there is a very specific written account of your complaint, noting the fact that your car randomly stalls/shifts into neutral; that is, force the dealer to put Porsche on notice. Dealers are all trained to sanitize customer complaints especially if the conditions at issue could give rise to lemon law and/or product liability claims. If the dealer/Porsche can not identify the cause and provide a fix, it is, unfortunately, time for a buyback and/or legal action. From what you are describing, it sounds like it is time to put your knee on the back of Porsche's neck and demand an appropriate remedy. Good luck!

This happened to me also. Stopped me in the middle of an intersection in neutral but my car stopped it did not roll. Extremely dangerous and the dealer couldn’t replicate it nor did they seem to care at all. Please report this to the national highway safety authority this is a bigger problem that the dealerships realize. Porsche North American was much more reasonable than the actual dealership.

Thanks for the reference to the other thread and also the other replies!

Today I noticed again that it probably depends on the inclination of the vehicle. Strictly speaking, it switches to N when I drive down into the garage and brake 1-2 times, will test it again. Today it even switched to P. After I noticed that today - I remember the other times - the vehicle was always slightly tilted and driving slowly.

The unpleasant thing about it is that it's mainly my wife and my 3-year-old daughter who travel with the Taycan. And she told me it happened to her three times a day yesterday that the Taycan switched to N by itself.
