I've talked to in person and seen on this forum several dead-while-driving power and engine failure issues. I'd like to know if you've had these as a 2020 or 2021.

I suggest to add to the survey the model.
Could it be also model related? It looks like Turbo S models are not having this issue...

Also maybe add pre-or post update WMA5 MY20..
I know you cannot have everything in a quick questionnaire.

Mine is a 2020 Taycan Turbo. Porsche North America just upped the payment they would pay me to keep quiet a few hours ago. They refuse to lemon law the automobile. See my posts for all my issues. Just reached out and left a message with my representative at the NHTSA to make them aware of how Porsche North America is trying to handle this.......
Lemon laws are governed at the state level, don't expect NHTSA to help you with that...

Not sure about FL, but many states are 30 days or more in the shop for the same problem, or more than 3 attempts to repair the same problem.

If your car is eligible based on your states laws, Porsche can't "refuse" to lemon it. They are required to abide by the laws, but you'll need to send formal communication or hire a lawyer.

The payment offers you are receiving are "goodwill" for the inconvenience you've experienced, and typically reset the vehicles service history. They are very commonplace. I dealt with PCNA on another car and went through the same process. Nothing nefarious about what they are doing, they are a large corporation and know how to handle these issues within legal bounds.

So how does it work, they pay you, you sign an NDA, and they still fix your issue?

Think this poll is a good idea and maybe also add a region or continent?

Based on the responses in the various threads, it does seem to relate to issues post WMA5 update. So IMHO, it is important to track if all the issues are related to the software update or are people experiencing the power loss even without the update.

There have been power loss issues reported before March and before WMA5 but they were way more rare. You can see the dates in the NHTSA complaints and in posts in this forum.
Based on what has been reported by other forum members these cases were due to either a converter cable (there was a campaign to fix them) or a bad main battery or other converter and electronics issues. I guess you can call them hardware issues and in many cases the car would not restart after the power loss or the warning/error would persist after restart.

I think someone mentioned it in another thread as well, but I wonder if RWDs are subject to this issue, since they don't have dual motors? Do we have any reports of RWD (which of course would be 2021 MY) experiencing this issue? I can't recall seeing one.
