Speaking of new tires, is it possible to get the new set aligned in such a way that it avoids the excessive inner tire wear that we all get? I don't mind the reduced cornering ability if that's what it takes. I assume it wouldn't reduce it that much anyway? Can't imagine that having the weight...
Really? Can you share your source? This would be interesting info for my parents, who drive a Bolt. Definitely not going to recommend they road trip in it if the charging curves are that bad.
To be fair, you did stop at arguably the best EA station in California :) Just built within the last year or 2 iirc, 10 bays instead of the usual 4, and good uptime.
Honestly, the years of conditioning should have been to put the car in Park, not to shut the engine off while in Drive. This is how ICEs should have been operated as well.
I would recommend you learn to use Park as turning the car off, as others have said! Then you never need to use the Power...
FWIW at my last dealership appointment, they measured 3mm on the inner part of my rear tires which is below their spec, and recommended replacing. I'm holding out for now to try and squeeze more life out of them. Fronts are fine.
I'm on a RWD with steel suspension, so no lowering possible. ~25k...
This is also where I have mine mounted, agreed its a great location. I don't have it wired up so it's just a mount, but I like that it's out of the way and also makes the phone largely invisible against my black dash/interior.
I have noticed that I often forget to take my phone with me when I...
Do we have any more data points on whether renewing Porsche Connect after the initial 3 years includes free EA charging for a 4th year? My renewal is coming up in June and I'm not sure just having use of the app is worth it (although not being able to check charge remotely sucks).
I have the stock Continental ProContacts on my '21 RWD. I'm at 24k miles and still plenty of tread left, though I have not measured. I generally drive fairly conservatively except for some quick turns on local streets which squeal the tires.
I actually had a similar problem and swore it was the dealer that did this. But then I realized that when I get into the car, my right pants pocket sometimes will rub against exactly this part of the steering wheel, and that's where my keys usually are. Even through the pants material, I guess...
This happened to me with one of my tabs early in my ownership as well. I actually forgot about it and tbh haven't noticed any reduced functionality. That being said I rarely put skinny bottles in there, which is where I assume the grabbing nature of the tabs would come in handy. Most standard...
