Set climate without charging

Just got my Taycan the other day and wondering if heating/cooling the cabin is possible without charging.

During the week I work and sleep on base and have no use for the car (and nowhere to charge it), but on the day I leave for home I want to car to be nice and warm/cool. I can only find the option to set the climate when the car is charging, is it my doing or is it simply not possible to do..

There is a button "A/C Menu" in the lower screen. Click it. You will see the climate menu which has a couple of tabs, one to control the vents and another to control Preheat/cool. These are all the available options.
I personally have preheat/cool timers off but I have it enabled when I unlock. It is pretty handy when the car is sitting under the sun in a parking lot. I remote unlock as I am approaching and that 1 min of A/C being on before I get in the car makes a difference.

Thanks guys,

I think the app on Android is horrendous, so I'm jusing the web application which is slightly better.

I can now get it to start cooling once you open the door with the key (which is great, thanks for the advice). I've tried to start cooling using the webapp, it says it's cooling (for a 1hour period) but I sat in the car with the doors closed/locked and nothing happend. Tomorrow I will try to set a timer and see what happens.

Edit #1 it worked, consumed about 4% battery life (80kwh battery)

Check that privacy mode is disabled in the PCM otherwise no remote access is available.

Check you have a good LTE connection.

If all of the above is fine then it sounds like a component fault and the dealer should be able to diagnose.

Bottom left quadrant must be green and you can ignore the bottom right quadrant.
