Shell caps carbon

With regret I had not ordered the carbon shells caps for exterior mirrors because I find the Porsche price excessive in relation to what it is!! I found these in dry carbon with our Chinese friends

Anyone know if they are just clipped or the method to remove the originals?

That's never "just" clipping them on, I would budget for 1 hour at Porsche. Breaking stuff is very expensive.

I don't think they accept to install a non-OEM part..

Then I would recommend to find someone who does Porsche. Or get a detailed documented dissambly instruction.

Wow, they are well over £300 on your link which I consider very expensive for a cosmetic trim item. Why would anybody pay that?
If you want carbon fibre look on pieces which have no need of its structural properties there are plenty of cosmetic equivalents which will be equally functional for a fraction of the price.

The point is, it IS carbon and not a 50 quid wrap. Fine if it’s not for you, but discerned design is a thing.

Carbon fibre is a structural material.
Discerned design would use it in the chassis but not a styling embellishment. IMHO of course.

Tastes and colors.. if I am not ok to pay what Porsche is asking for 2 mirror covers I am not in favor of putting on a fake carbon effect. I took the complete carbon pack for the interior some love others find it ugly. personally I like the sporty design it makes.
