That's hilarious; I don't know if it was intentional, but that picture gives absolutely no information on where it is, just that it's in the ocean. Looks like Monday for Davisville! I wish I was on that boat...

I don’t think he is intentionally to confuse you . Because the default layout of the info is like that . I attached a zoom out version of the ship location relative to the land . Let me know if you have hard time getting it

This look legit . What app you’re using and do you need to pay for it ? I paid for the app and if I want to have real-time location , I need to pay 99 cents every 24 hours

I am, as usual, just being a tad cheeky (that's for our British friends). Just thought the picture was humorous, like, "yep, it's still on the ocean."

More than halfway there!
I'm not an expert on transatlantic maritime transport yet (though I could very well become one by the time my taycan arrives from reading these threads) but it's very interesting how most of these RORO ships' westbound routes follow a seemingly longer southern route compared to the shorter more direct northern route when they go eastbound back to Emden. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical reason for this. Anyone know or care to guess?

Give me a few days , I’ll dive-in the library and see if I can find some info.

Oh yeah, I knew that, I was hoping the paid app showed estimated dates of departure. I'm guessing it leaves tomorrow. Then a lot of us will know if we're seeing cars this year. Thanks though!

I believe it’s because of prevailing winds. These roll on/roll off ships have a pretty high profile and avoiding steaming into a headwind can save a lot of fuel. Heading back east they benefit from a tailwind.

My 2022 CT 4S is on this voyage. It’s due in Rhode Island Monday.
