I wonder the same. All I know is my car is definitely there , now is another battle to get the car to dealerIn port for 7h 43m - wonder how many cars come off in that time. Logistics are a wild thing.
Out of curiosity, unless you are “sitting on the dock of the bay”, how do you know your car is there?I wonder the same. All I know is my car is definitely there , now is another battle to get the car to dealer
My TYD showed the my car was on the Cicero , now Cicero has finished port call in davisville, my car would have 99% of the chance that it got unloaded .Out of curiosity, unless you are “sitting on the dock of the bay”, how do you know your car is there?
Got it. Thanks. I am in the same boat ?My TYD showed the my car was on the Cicero , now Cicero has finished port call in davisville, my car would have 99% of the chance that it got unloaded .
Here’s a video of the unloading of a roll on roll off ship.In port for 7h 43m - wonder how many cars come off in that time. Logistics are a wild thing.
Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing. Cars are packed like sardines in there. My first car was damaged beyond deliverable as it was crossing Atlantic on SFL composer due to “heavy seas”. I can see why now because the cars are so packed together. Any sort of significant jolt and your car is done for. Here’s a video of the unloading of a roll on roll off ship.
My CT 4S is (was?) on the Cicero. My dealer (Porsche of Nashua, NH) thinks they’ll have the car ready for delivery next week. I am beyond excited.
Not sure who arranges transport but my dealer called me today and said car should be at the dealer by this weekend. Picking up in Porsche Burlington MA. Not sure where you’re picking up. Hope that helps.Does anyone know if the dealer arranges pickup from the Port or if Porsche arranges delivery to the dealer? I am getting Porsche takes the lead. If it’s my dealer, I am sure I would need to push them to avoid delays. Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks. It does. I sent my dealer a note and received the rather lame response that they are not sure when it will arrive but it should be “soon” and that they will be sure to contact me when it does. Not sure who arranges transport but my dealer called me today and said car should be at the dealer by this weekend. Yes agree with you. Overall my customer service satisfaction score during this process has been very low…Thanks. It does. There has not been a single proactive reach out from them in the 10+ months of waiting so I expect to find it on their lot before they do.
So I just called my SA , my car finished PDI, and released for transport. I have asked who arrange the transport and willing to pay for the shipping, but was told it’s not possible because porsche is the one who arrange the transportation.
