Hi all, presume that those sourcing Taycan via Zenith SS scheme get the Porsche 3yr facility for £0.30 per kw via Ionity?

Hi All. Just seeing if any anyone has had any more movement or news on orders placed recently through ss. I’ve ordered my ct4s via Lex (a few weeks ago) and dealing with Cambs Porsche (Stephen Lewis) In terms of confirming order spec etc. I have an estimated stock date (not sure if that supposed to be delivery!) of the 31/1/24. I did talk to Stephen to find out which models would be available sooner and it looked like the st was available late q3 23 but I really wanted the ct. I’m kicking myself a tad as I should have ordered the ct4 over the 4S as I’m not bothered about the speed but was advised originally an s would be available quicker but I think they are on par with each other in terms of delivery now, but don’t fancy starting the process again (as original order would need to be cancelled and a new one started) and risk getting pushed further down the line.

I have to say I’ve had a really positive experience with my salary sacrifice order so far. I ordered in February and my GTS is currently on its way to the dealership. Updates have been frequent and useful, and the Porsche aftersale experience has been impressive so far (the Christmas biscuits in the post were a nice touch).

Great question, no idea. My working assumption is this is standard as you’re buying a new Porsche therefore it “just happens”.

please someone advise if that is not the way it happens.

I’ve told Scott at Porsche Cambridge we are collecting from there (vs drop off at home) as we want a thorough walk through of the car, check all updates/recalls are complete, MyPorsche app is fully set up, it is fully charged and to provide sufficient time for generally pissing about with it before we head back to Ascot.

He said that is absolutely the best way to do it - so I’ll prompt him on this also.

I had a very positive experience with Zenith / Cambridge / Scott. I placed my order back in July 2021 for my CT4. Originally it was due in late March this year but did end up getting delayed till June and then ultimately July. Scott was very good throughout - far better than Zenith anyway! Fortunately didn't end up having anything changed on my spec (including Bose). Delivery was top notch too - it arrived via covered transporter and the delivery chap gave me a thorough walk through of the car and its functions. He also collected my outgoing Zenith car. Had I been more local I may well have opted for collection, but I can't fault the delivery experience.

I only have it for 2 years with our Zenith scheme and we have actually changed provider to Tusker now so will have to start the next ordering process with them soon!

Oh and with regards to the Porsche charging service, yes you get the subsidised Ionity pricing - they should set this up for you ready for your car delivery, though you may need to wait a little while for the RFID card to turn up (the app should work straight away though). Note some of the chargers (e.g. Porsche's own 350kW ones) do seem to need the RFID card and can't be initiated via the app.

Simon, thanks for the info on ionity which aligns with what I believed to be the case. I am tempted to opt for the 2 yr (vs planned 3 yr) but will wait and see.

Has anyone who has ordered with zenith been allowed to put on a personal registration plate on their vehicle?

They certainly let me do it - and it was pretty simple to take my old personal plate off the old car at the end of the lease.

Agreed - last time I used zenith (V70 D5, 2011 before I went expat (again)) they let me do the same. Very easy process

Thanks for the responses. The FAQs currently suggest they don’t allow it. So it’s possible things may have changed since.

don't usually hear much from Lex.. they seem to do an update monthly but nothing has changed for me in the last 3 months. I've not bothered Stephen directly (yet) given he'd told me in October it was still Feb/March 2024 for me.

Same here regarding updates. I think the real updates (generally regarding further delays) seem to be quarterly.

I ordered a Cherry Metallic 4S late September 2021 and finally it’s at the dealers (Colchester/Cambridge Porsche) June 2023 is this a record? It’s now Gentian blue as they apparently ran out of Cherry but at least it’s in the UK. Zenith don’t appear to know the car is in the UK and if I hadn’t emailed Colchester I’m not sure when they’d have called me, all pretty disappointing.
