I forgot original 4-digit Taycan security code. Used MyPorsche to reset the code.
Went to car, logged off my account, logged back into the account with the new code. Account is active with status "Main user with remote access".
Porsche Connect status in car says "private mode inactive".
MyPorsche app on phone and desktop both show "no remote access". Reinstalled MyPorsche app, still no fix.
Any suggestions to resolve this?
(Before I reset the code, remote access to the car from the apps was working fine.)

I resolved my app not connecting remotely to the car, after I reset the 4 digit security code.
Edited on Dec 14 2023: (Note: I do NOT recommend changing the 4-digit code. Doing that caused the problem. I only changed it because I forgot it.)
Situation:
MyPorsche and Porsche Connect apps both showed: No remote access authorized.
The car did have data connection; LTE symbol in PCM was displayed.
MyPorsche app instruction was to use Porsche ID and password to add user to account in car.
My account in the car was active and listed as "main user with remote access authorized".
Private mode was inactive.

Steps I took:
--Switched car to guest account and secondary account and back to main user. Did not fix.
--Signed out of main account and signed in to main account. Did not fix.
--Deleted/reinstalled apps on phone and desktop. Did not fix.
--Used 2 fingers to put PCM in engineering mode and rebooted. Did not fix.

Looking in Connect app, I saw its instructions were: use Porsche ID and password to add user to account in car. If main user is already listed in accounts, delete the user account and re-add it.

--I deleted my account - main user. Re added my account. (Note: my car did have LTE data access.) That step caused MyPorsche app to connect with remote access to the vehicle.

Porsche NA customer service phone took 8 days to advise that I should reset PCM to factory mode - which I did not try since problem was resolved.

Edited December 14, 2023: @tchavei was successful with a different solution in this thread.

This sounds promising. I shall try this. Thank you for giving me a little hope.

I have exactly the same issue as above. Changed my code and cannot connect the car with the app.

Did all steps above, including the deletion of profile in PCM and re-adding again. As extra I tried it with different email address, but still no connection.

The app /website keeps telling me that I need to login with Porsche-ID in PCM to enable all remote functions.

Anyone any idea?

For you to connect to the Taycan remotely or login via PCM, the car must have cellular datacomm with Porsche back-end servers. This means that the PCM upper right corner displays the LTE symbol.
If the car does not have LTE, there is a different list of remedies.

LTE is working
Also data is working

All settings in PCM are correct and switched off and on again. But still the app keeps saying that remote access is not active.
