I went into Porsche centre today for service and to extend warranty and asked my service advisor what their position was for adding spacers to my CT. He looked at me funny like I was asking a stupid question as to why I would think spacers would affect warranty… he said they are ok and dealer would also install for me if I wanted.

I remember reading on here some people taking them off every time they go into dealership so just curious about others personal experience with them?

Warranty in its entirety cannot be "voided" in the US
Easy rule of thumb:
-Could this modification cause anything to be stressed beyond factory levels causing failure?
-If yes then you may have a warranty risk of the affected part/system (not the WHOLE warranty)

Example:
-If you put spacers on your wheels could this cause extra stress on the battery? No.
-Could poorly sized spacers cause some issue in the suspension or wheel area? Maybe?

In this scenario if the battery failed, I would expect the battery warranty would still be valid. If your wheel spacer caused a wheel bearing to fail prematurely then maybe those would not be replaced under warranty due to your modification.

Edit: I see you are in Canada....no idea the laws so might need to disregard my comments.

There is a connection between the claim and the aftermarket upgrade you made. If you add spacers and the air conditioning stops working, that’s fine. However, if you add spacers and notice that the tires are wearing out more quickly or the road noise is different, then there’s likely a correlation, and they might deny the warranty claim.

I would be interested in some valid information on the amount, spacers indeed stress the chassis more than stock.
12-15 mm all around would suit the optics a lot.

This is the kind of issue that will likely vary from country to country as warranty laws are different. The main thing to understand in the US is the Magnuson–Moss Act of 1975 which provides the protections listed above. US only tho. (Full disclosure - I'm not an attorney but worked in the warranty/service business for many years)
