Sport/Gravel button

Ah ok. So all Cross Turismos have gravel mode, but without SC you have to activate it through the menu? Yesterday my car started with all screen black, no way to change settings. I still think the knob is the easiest way to change modes and recommend Sport Chrono unless you drive in normal mode all the time.

SC is the way to go if you frequently use all the different modes.

I personally drive in Normal most of the time, with the occasional burst in Sport, so the Sport soft button suits me best.

Interesting logic! Buy SC because the software is so crap that you need a physical button ?

I don't have my car yet so can't speak to it. Maybe others can. Wouldn't having the Sport+ mode, individual mode, thicker steering wheel be other reasons for in favor for SC?

I like being able to change drive modes without looking at a screen, so SC is worth it for me. I like that it’s an option.

they would, also the compass on the dash (CT only, it's a clock on the saloon) is a reason to spec it. The compass also shows altitude which I find interesting monitoring vs range/consumption during long trips, up and down hills makes a big impact on range.

You can add elevation and compass to the right hand tube on the cockpit on your personal config along side battery temp etc.

if I want to go from Range or Gravel to Normal, I just press Sport twice.

My preference would be for the Sport button to advance through all the modes rather than toggle Sport on and off. In effect this would be a push button version of the steering wheel mode selector that sequences through the modes.

Sport button cycling through all modes would be dangerously close to Sport Chrono dial functionality, so I don't think Porsche would allow that

I have a 2021 CT without sports crono and the button says “sports”. I also prefer to have sports instead of gravel easily accessible.

My guess is that they put Gravel on the button on the demo cars that they lent to reviewers to highlight the new option. And judging from the videos I haven seen it was a successful strategy.

So, how do you put the drive mode in sport plus with the sport button? Otherwise, looks like non-chrono cars don’t have sport plus on the drive, only the chassis [upper right instrument selection.]

You cannot cycle thru all of the modes by repeatedly pressing the Sport button on the console screen. Whatever mode you are in (with the exception of Sport) will be changed to Sport by pressing the Sport button once. Then when you press the Sport button again the mode will be changed to Normal.

What you refer to as the "first" part is the way it is. What you refer to as the "second" part is the way I wish it were.
