Hi all.
Was wondering if anyone else have experienced issues with the steering on their Taycan.
Got a 4S+ 2020 model that just this week developed the following symptoms:
- hard to turn fully at low speeds - but when turned far enough it will almost «jump» into a turn, like the steering wheel almost hits a bump that it then suddenly overcomes
- feels imprecise at higher speeds, but not like a «dead» centerpoint similar to an old style worn out steering box.
- and just today squeaky noises from the steering column at a point very close to the steering wheel (i.e. in the cabin)
Recently got new set of summer tires - R20. Got about 2000 km on them without any problems. Running on 3 bars pressure to avoid the early worn out edges. Always keeping an eye on tire pressure.
I do run in «Range» mode from time to time on long hauls, otherwise mostly «Normal».
Not done any «spirited» driving with the new tires and they seem fine threadwise.
I’ve booked an appointment with the dealer, so waiting to hear from them, but would be interesting to know if anyone else have experienced something similar.
Regards,
