having an issue with a 2022 Cross tourismo 4S, i have a terrible squeeking noise which started occuring about 3 after buying (3-4 months ago), please see the video attached, occurs mainly at slow speeds whilst manouvering i.e parking, at higher speeds it tends it is harder to notice, happens mainly when steering but also over bumps, being quoted approx £3800 (labour is a big part of this!) i am obviously having to argue that this cannot be my cost to cover, the claim is that it is not covered under warranty as the part is not defective on the noise alone, if it works fine then it is not covered, the logic baffles me, how can a part make this terrible noise yet not be defective at the same time.

pleased to hear you thoughts/advice

thanks

After the first year, acoustical faults are not covered, but:
If this is a part of the chassis, that's "running dry" (not a native speaker) it actually becomes a relevant defect with security-issues.
What does the quote say on parts?

Noticed mine doing this recently. Not quite as loud as yours, but have definitely noticed it.

When did yours start? Does it do it in all weathers? Only noticed mine lately when it's been hot.

Mine's a 22 ST with 45k miles.

I’ve listened to your audio and watched the video several times now, and it appears that the squeaks repeat at roughly the speed of a single rotation of a tire. I would have someone outside the car listening for the sound, and have them listen to each corner of the car separately.

If you can identify that if it is associated with one specific wheel, then you might have something rubbing and could point a dealer at that.
