On Sunday the passenger side mirror decided to readjust itself showing a nice view of the sky instead of the road. I adjusted it, and when reversing it naturally decided to show me the ground, so we did a bit of back-and-forth negotiations that didn't really resolve much. Next up was my seat adjustment, - all settings seemed to be lost. Then the Apple Music app decided not to find any more music. Then my middle screen arrangement was out of whack, for no apparent reason. This was all preceded by the Connect app not wanting to preheat the car due to some "privacy mode" issues - that I'd never fiddled with anyway.
Now my seat will not recede to make entry easier the way it used to - so I'm back to having to hold the "recede" button before entering the car like I'm in the BMW touring after the wife's had a shopping trip in it.

I'm getting used to all these "gremlins" in the system, so not too worried as long as I'm able to start and drive the car, - but it'd be interesting to know if anyone else have experienced anything similar in the last week?

Here's hoping that "the big big March update" - which will probably arrive in April at the earliest - will fix some of these things.

Sounds like your Porsche Connect ID dropped.

Ensure you are logged into the PCM with your ID and when that’s done ensure that privacy mode is disabled (if not then you won’t get remote access or access to services).

It may have skipped out to Guest mode which essentially is a default with limited access to music, settings and so on.

The personal settings on ‘My Screen’ are now saved which is a fix from the software update which you have pending.

@W1NGE thanks. Will check the setup after work today. Quite by coincidence I got an email from the dealer 10 minutes after posting here that I could book a date for the big update. I thought that was rather amusing :). So week after Easter this should all be sorted, I guess....

That’s good but don’t set your expectations too high just yet. I have a flickering Park Assist now...will this never end!??

I took delivery of my Taycan S last Tuesday and I have had similar experiences with the passenger door-mirror, heated seats and steering wheel turning themselves on and suddenly playing music ...

Check your comfort settings in the PCM.

Preheat/pre-cooling will control heated seats if set (as does ambient temperature). All can be disabled. Check also your settings on timers / profiles where preheat/precool can be set too.

The mirror issue I think is a memory problem so if you re-adjust, place into reverse to ensure it tilts then Park, then power off, lock, open - check.

Never seen that at all. Very weird. Have you checked pre-hear settings. Sounds like you need to hard reset the PCM.

Did you get this sorted W1NGE?

My screen has just started flickering and going mad when the reverse cameras are on.
Attached screenshot gives an idea, but it's jumping about all over the place.

Yep, it cleared months ago so was a one time thing. Mine wasn't as bad as yours but again I think software related (boot sequence).

I'm in Granada just now and the car is in Glasgow airport BUT Porsche Connect tells me it is actually in Edinburgh where I started the journey!

Thanks W1NGE.
Mine cleared the next time I started the car and has been fine since.
Obv just another software glitch.

Can't believe you still have a Ford Granada. Is it the sporty 'Scorpio' model ?
