My car is scheduled to exit production today. So the big question becomes when will it ship? Unfortunately the delays will hurt a little on shipping. My TYD says Left Port 10/3 - 28/3 and my Dealer screenshot says Arrival Port Kembla 19/5. As vehicle is departing Bremerhaven, there appear to be two options. I hope its the Oslo but suspect it will be the Tysla. Stay tuned.

Yes that is a big fear. I miss both ships. You can see the other challenge is the route. Hoegh Oslo is very direct via Africa to Fremantle. WW Tsyla is 20 days slower as it is the longer route via the East Coast of the US, Panama Canal, Pacific Islands, NZ followed by a tour of the East Coast of Australia so the crew get to see the humpback whales frolicking in the Pacific. But don't worry @OTPSkipper I will be bringing you every stop until I am united my new car!

Just when you start to get your hopes up, the Porsche manufacturing rollercoaster kicks in. We have a 3 week manufacturing delay which then leads to a 2 month delivery delay.

I'm telling you, until your car is on the boat, the only dates that count are the completed ones. Once on vessel, you can track it independently, and hope you won't run into any strikes, labor shortages, or stop-sales due to missing parts.

My dealer just confirmed delay due to heater. Some cars are being shipped with dummy heaters to be replaced by the dealer prior to delivery. I don’t know whether that is the case with mine - or new heater stocks are imminent and my car is being held rather than shipped. My preference is to hold and ship a fully compliant car.

Whether the retrofit happens at the source port or the destination port or dealer, the latter two get you your car sooner and minimizes the time car spends in transit. The only way I would think it might get you what you want would be if Porsche didn't even produce your car until it has a heater for it, but that doesn't make much business sense to shut down production completely due to lack of a part which can be retrofitted later.

How do I find the carrier of my vehicle? All the carriers through the website you have used seem to avoid rhe Suez Canal whereas mine has come through this.

Your dealer can tell you. As Taycan's come out of Bremerhaven, the two most common vehicle carriers to Australia are usually Wallenius Wilhelmsen or Hoegh Autoliners. You can go to both company websites where they have a customer tracking portal. Typically you enter the normal VIN abbreviation, so not the full VIN, for example SA44226 which is the last seven characters.

Thank you. According to dealer the carrier is Höegh traveller. Porsche app shows car is heading out in the Arabian see whilst Höegh traveller seems to be heading from South Africa to port Kembla. Estimated date on the shipping site using my vin is 6 April brisbane.

Latest update overnight, my car has finally completed the manufacturing phase after a 3 week delay due to supply shortages of the heater. The revised date in TYD for manufacturing completion was always 21 March so it is encouraging to see the date held up. What follows is a little more troubling, release for transport is greyed out and no further dates available. So I am bracing myself for further delays due to the backlog of vehicles caught up in the heater issue.

Yes once the car is loaded. But the app may also do that for me, you can see in the above picture the car is located on the map at the port of Bremerhaven - perhaps it moves with the shipping schedule.
