my all seasons got a lot more range

factory delivery w/Contenental all seasons = 260-270 miles range
goodyear F1 Eagles (porsche spec installed by dealer) = 215-225 miles range

honestly for street driving I can’t tell the difference between the two

I’m switching back to the all seasons when these wear out cause I value the range more than the incremental grip (which is un-noticable in stop&go traffic but still takes the range hit)
Interesting , thx

I don’t think that winter tyres are necessary unless you’re dealing with snow. But a Porsche Taycan isn’t necessary either. If you want to drive it like a Porsche under 10°c you should have winter tyres. Yes, all season tyres give you better range and wear than summer tyres but, if you want to drive it like a Porsche then you should have those on in the summer. It’s a cost and convenience issue from my perspective, not a performance issue and if you’re all about cost and convenience you’ve bought the wrong car.

My Pilot Sport 4S have been fine with the winter weather we had in January (the two snow days excluded). The stock Eagle F1s did not work at all when they were cold. It took a lot of scrubbing to drive on cold November and December mornings. That’s the whole point of the 4S vs the previous editions or higher end Pilots anyway. Better drivability in the real world.
