Is Porsche totally incompetent? Here’s how they are dealing with my reimbursement after two months.


Here’s part of my invoice for a Tesla charger.

I hope the folks handling the reimbursement are not the same one writing the new software for the Macan.

I would argue the charger was just as bad back in 2022 as it was when the recall was issued.

Or that Porsche was putting you at risk of burning your house down because they were too slow to issue the recall. Thank god you took appropriate actions in 2022!

That invoice is from April 22, 2024. They read the date wrong.

Cognitive limitations are not unique to Germans. As the population grows, and now we're building artificial intelligence, I think our Matrix is not keeping up so the maintainers have been optimizing for speed instead of accuracy or depth (similar to what human AI developers have been doing to our AI creations), as evidenced society IQ dropping lately. I'm hoping there is a matrix hardware upgrade in our near future, rather than some rapid depopulation event (Matrix management decides to drop an asteroid on Earth to reduce the inference resources demand).

I was trying to be funny but was lost in translation. .

Set the min to charge but then set a timer to override the min charge so that you charge a little right away but then you charge more later on but if you are outside of the window or anything changes you might get a full charge or none at all.

To me it seems like whoever implemented the charging UI just exposed the ISO15118 charging API's via the UI. If you were to do the same for simple file API, if you were to implement a text editor "Save File" option, you would add an "Open" button which would pop up options for open mode, one of them being "Write". Then another button to "Write" once the file is open for write, then another button for "Close" to complete saving of the file.

If you just picked up a new car. they must have given you the new cable or not cable at all - dealer would not be allowed to sell you a known faulty cable under recall. Others on the forum few months back reported getting 2024 Taycans with PMC+ without the NEMA 14-50 cable, but also a $600 credit from dealer towards any EVSE they wanted. The rest of us, who picked up our cars before the recall, didn't get the $600 offer until months later, in the mail.
