Great to see a few Taycans around Dublin now.

This was a great forum that helped me spec mine so I just wanted to start a thread to help others with any questions that may be Ireland specific.

Is there much ionity coverage south of the border? I've checked the maps and it looks sketchy. Up here in the north it very much looks like lower capacity chargers.

And agreed. My spec locks on Monday and this forum has been invaluable in making sure the options chosen are the right ones for me.

I think Ionity have picked really good locations for their initial 350kw chargers - M1 at City North, M6 at Atlone, M7 at Cashel, and M11 at Gorey.

The locations provide ideal coverage for either direction on longer trips and there are usually loads of free stations.

I'm not sure of city charging as I live in the city!

IONITY charging during journeys is fantastic ... and Ireland has a basic but decent network as you say. I used IONITY at Gretna on my journey back to Northern Ireland and it was superb and that kind of 15-25min boost would be wholly acceptable but tbh 50kw chargers are tediously slow for Taycans mid journey unless you’ve a need to stop for 45-60 mins
