Remember settings, like drive mode, regen, sport sound etc.
I think “sport sound” would be the only setting they could change to default.

The car has to “default” to the most efficient setting with full power. That’s normal mode no auto regen.

Pretty sure it’s a regulation. Same as how gas cars with auto start/stop default to “on.”

I'm not talking about the default but I'm talking about remembering MY settings.
You can customize them in “individual” drive mode and it remembers that.

But every time you start the car it has to start back in normal mode.

I’ll remember them for you if you want.

Not all gas cars do that though. My Macan remembers and keeps it off.

The ability to heat/cool the car from the key (one of the buttons should be configurable).
Yes. I’d like to configure one of them to put the top down. Maybe Porsche can update it OTA?

There are two sets of information I want to see on the driver screen at the same time: TRIP and INFORMATION. the right 'gauge' has both of them as options, but I would like to see the left 'gauge' with similar options in its list so I could display these two simultaneously.

I would like to see the charging setting reworked at least in the way they are doing it for newer models with the Target charge setting on an easy slider on the center console display. (I had a Macan loaner with this, and it would be EASY for them to add it to the Taycan.)

I would also like more options for the passenger screen, as in leaving it fully on even without a passenger.

More screen customization-

Examples- driver screen- give us the same options on the left and right side vs different on each.

Main screen- allow for split screen with TWO options instead of 3. I would like Nav and radio and that’s it.

Bottom A/C screen- give us some more options. The mouse pad thing is a complete waste of space.

More customizable “joker buttons” on the screens.

Passenger screen- allow it to be on even if no passenger.
Totally agree with this set of requests.

I have my car almost 6 years.
You think I don't know that?

That is what I'm trying to tell you mate.
Are you trolling?
What a silly conversation.

I thought it was common knowledge. The car needs to revert to the settings used for tests like WLTP. Otherwise, it would be cheating if the test was conducted in range mode, and the car defaults to sports mode.

back to the topic;
- more features for HUD
- fix the f.. navigation in europe
- 5 tubes like 911 and Cayenne on dashboard

If you know that, then why did you reply to me with this?

“I'm not talking about the default but I'm talking about remembering MY settings.”

Either you didn’t understand what I meant by “default” or vice versa. 🤷‍♂️

If it’s the latter then I still don’t know exactly what you’re asking for.

Do you want it to default to the last setting you had it to when you start the car?

If so, my first comment said why it can’t: efficiency testing regulations.

More details:
  • Default Drive Mode: The EPA generally uses the default driving mode that the car starts in, notes Cars.com. If a car defaults to "Eco" upon starting, that mode is used, but if it defaults to "Normal," that is the standard.

Did you program it this way or is that different for different years. From what I read it defaults to “on” every time you restart the car:

https://ask.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/start-stop/#:~:text=From model year 2018,Start Stop off or on.

“Porsche Start Stop is automatically activated when you start your car. However, you can manually turn Start Stop on or off in your Porsche.”

I figured it was this way for all cars…… up until a recent executive order.
