Hello friends,

A few years ago, i had a Aston Martin DBS and also a watch from JLC that was a partnership with Aston, called transponter, and that allowed you to open and lock the car with a simple touch in the watch. I always left the key inside the car, and everything works like music.

Considering the technology in 2022, I was thinking: there is no way to synchronize the taycan key in an APP or even in a watch ?
have you ever thought about it? It would be really cool don't to have to worry about a key.

best regards!

Not sure it's a great idea (sorry) but with Comfort mode you are already effectively forgetting about the key. Key is in your pocket / watch on your wrist.

Electronic keys are coming to Apple iOS. So with Apple and Porsche's past history, I bet it'll be coming to their platform.

Currently Apple iPhones work with BMWs. It's a only a matter of time before it works with Watch.

This is going to be the hardest thing to give up going from my mach e and bmw. I have phone as key so I never have to bring a key along. I just grab my phone and my car unlocks, I’m able to drive everywhere and then I walk away and the car turns off and locks. I feel like once my taycan arrives I will need to revamp my whole routine. I really wish there was an app for the key to connect to. But there’s also the need for backup that an app may not be enough for. For instance, if my Mach e is in an area with bad internet, the car has an external keypad and then I have a passcode once inside. Not sure how that would work if it’s just an app and there’s no internet connection.
