When I purchased a 2014 911, I sat in the 18-way for about 30 minutes. That was enough for me to figure out that these seats and my back were not in concert. The 14-way worked much better. I have no fix for your problem, other than to sell the car or change the seats. I had the same experience in a MB 300E and sold the car as the seats were horrible. Life is too short to suffer with discomfort in a car seat.

I had trouble getting comfortable in mine to start with and ended up with a higher seating position. Now they are great but it did take a lot of messing around to get there. Maybe try adjusting the height if you haven’t already tried that

Maybe you can find someone who has 14 way seats to swap your 18 way seats with? Or maybe your dealership has a car they'd be willing to swap with? It's just 2 seats and I assume most people want the 18 way anyway.

Unlike f1eng, I had no qualms about not getting a GTS interior in my GTS - I optioned the 14 way and it was moreso because it's the only way I could have gotten the massage seats option, which I really wanted.

I've had the same issue with our Boxster and Cayenne on long trips and anticipate the Taycan will be no different. It has a seat feel fairly similar to the Cayenne. Massage option helps, but I've found that a good memory foam cushion does the trick for me. Good luck.

I find (similar to other sports seats)that they work best if you back off all the adjustments ( lumber, bolster etc), then just add a bit of under thigh support

Sorry you cannot find a good fit with the 18-way seats. You have tried all possible adjustments? I’m tall and medium weight (6 ft 4, 94 kilos) and the 18-ways fit me wonderfully. No problem at all doing long trips.
same here, 6'2", 92kgs, covered 6000 very comfortable miles in mine.

I'm 6 foot 70 kg and old (64) and I find the seats the most comfortable of any car I've owned. And I've not really played much with the settings just the basics.

I've just done my first long trip in my GTS, about 4 hours, and the seats are really uncomfortable. I had the same issue with a Golf which had premium sports seats.

I've tried lots of positions and managed to get my lower back okayish but the side bolsters are too narrow for my fat arse and are agravating my sciatica.

I have recently joined Weight Watchers (no lie!) which is going very well and on track bring me down to 100kg but I can't see it making a massive difference to my overall frame, I'm just big!

Anyone suffering the same and found a solution? I have a memory foam cushion I used in the Golf that I'm going to try in the GTS, if it works I might see if I can find someone to make me a Alcantara cover for it.

My wife, who doesn't have a fat bum, also says it's the most uncomfortable car seat she's ever sat in.

Please help otherwise I'm going to have to sell it and buy a Volvo ?
I had the 18 way in my original and found them pinching the side of my thighs (I'm 5ft 9" and normal build) and went with 14 way on my second car. Much more comfortable...sorry know that doesn't help but might be worth to swap out if possible. As others have said, no sense in a great car but pain at the end

Also 6'4, maybe I'll aim for 94kg instead of 100 ?
I’m 6’2, 94 kg and driven 32,500 miles since March 22 in a Turbo S CT with 18-way seats. Last road trip: just over 3,000 miles, 5 days 8 countries. Seats performed brilliantly throughout. I wonder if it’s a case of working with incremental, gradual adjustments until you get it spot on? I drive everywhere in Sports Plus so not getting much give from the suspension.

I went on an hour drive in the GTS this morning and felt fine, then I took my Tesla on its final drive to the broker that’s selling it for me and my back was killing me, so the GTS is off death row for now!

I have a couple of cushions to try and a good excuse to go for a long drive ?

I have to say I find the complete opposite, 6hrs plus no problem. I did specify the 18 way seats on purpose after reading reviews on the 14 way, and to me they are very good. Also no complaints from any passengers.

Great to hear! I was concerned when I read your post. Im 6'4", 104kg and have a GTS ST on order. I never got the opportunity to properly test the GTS seats (only for 10 mins after ordering) and am slightly worried about causing cramps due to pinching blood vessels in the buttocks. If anyone remembers the Audi RS4 B7 'wingback' bucket seats, my legs would go numb after just minutes, so had to hunt for an example with the far more comfy sport seats!

I also find my 18-way seats narrow in the upper thigh/hip cradle. I believe that this is intentional, given the track-focused nature of my GTS ST. I wish there was a width adjustment for the leg bolster width.

Same here, 6' 3" (190 cm) and 175 pounds (79 kg). Very comfortable once the seat was adjusted. Still have to work to get out of the car, though! The side and seat bolsters of the 18-way seats are not friendly for big people.
