    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

I bet if Tesla changed the name from FSD to SSD (Supervised Self Driving), which is what it is. The majority of negativity would disappear.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

Plus one! I brought my car for its 2 year servicing. There were 6 open campaingns/recalls. They admitted that the car will be in shop 7 days. In PCNA speak, it is more like a month. Now, I am driving the Macan lawnmower. What a joke. I can't wait to get rid of this car - so upside down that I a...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

Your kidding right? What about all the "boy racers" in their M3 Comp's? I have read most if not all of your posts, this is way out of character for a thoughtful individual that you have aways demontstrate to be. I give you a pass on this one.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

Would you feel differently if you spec'd deviated stiching for additional $$ and your car was delivered without it. However, it was not removed from the price of the vehicle. PAG has a habit of hiding defects by mandating change to customer behavior. They have limited: the EVSE charger's...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

I don't understand what this Reuter's investigation proves. Is it that Tesla and Musk "puff" just about everything Tesla? Unless one has been living under a rock for over 13 years, this is irrefutable. The examples of puffing abound in unlimted quantity. Having said this, the article is in and...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

I agree with each and every point in your post. What I find amazing is that MB was highlighted. The BMW system is quite capable, not up to Teslas FSD but capable for what it is.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

The most valuable part of the settlement is that you did not have to sign a confidentiality agreement. PCNA made a foolish choice to arbitrate and just not pay you off, along with a confidentiality agreement. Now every participant, who is irritated with the vast depreciation has a way out. Just...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

It's a "brave new world". I will take autonomous vehicles whether Waymo or Tesla any day of the week over the assholes I encounter on the Long Island Expressway every weekend.

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

Whitex: Hopefully it would have - you'd have to test it in a scenario like this (very rapid, unexpected PIT maneuver). An interesting corollary to this - if FSD would in fact avoid this PIT maneuver, does it mean police chase vehicles will no longer be able to use the PIT maneuver to stop cars...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

Occupants were banged up but nothing too serious. Luckily there was no fire. The other driver didn't speak english, so not much conversation with him. I must say it was a bit unsettling, however my 15 years of track experience prepared me for exactly what to do in case the car shot back across...

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

Look at this accident I witnessed a week ago. There is no doubt in my mind that if the victim car had FSD, it would have been avoided. The Tesla would have seen the car coming over in the right rear and moved over.

    Tesla FSD Safety Stats Misleading

In my own experience after having driven thousands of miles using FSD, it is not perfect. However, it is far safer in my experience than a human driving. It has gotten far better with with construction zones and emergency vehicles over the last 6 months. I never had an issue with motorcycles. If...

    Taycan production shutdown

I deleted the majority of your post in my response, as I don't believe politics or government policy has any place on this or any enthusiast forum. Having said this: I remember when PAG was nothing more than a common parts bin, do you? We still hold the 996 911 as a substandard P-Car, why...

    Taycan production shutdown

The more relevant question is - Will Porsche survive? The brand has become non-competitive in its second largest market, China. It has become way over priced in its largest market, the US. No new products on the horizon, shrinking sales worldwide and massive capex with little to no ROI. Forced...

    Possible total loss?

While this does not help you now, perhaps in the future is a different type of insurance policy. Another option is to purchase an "agreed value" insurance policy. While I have never purchased for my Taycan's, I did for my GT3. The cost was higher but not onerours when comparing to a total loss...

    Possible total loss?

I don't want to throw salt in an open wound, but I have expressed more than once on this forum- Put down as little as possible on any leased car. Never enter a lease without GAP insurance. This is a PSA.

    Possible total loss?

During my repair process, which I tracked pretty closely the repair protocal is much more detailed than other lower priced vehicles. The process strives to make the car "as new". For example: The right rear wheel was replaced. It didn't sustain damage that could not have been refinished to new...

    Possible total loss?

Folks don't realize the cost to repairs these cars. It adds up quick. Thankfully, the insurance paid all but the deductible. Pre-owned, heavily depreciatied Taycan's don't have a chance of being repaired for even the smallest of accidents. No wonder the cost to insure these cars has skyrocketed.

    Possible total loss?

If it's at a Certfied Porsch Collision Center shop, you will be fine. Here is some pic's of my damage that added up to $27K at a PCC shop:
