Irrespective of any potential battery, cooling system damage or hidden damage. The body work alone exceeds the value of the vehicle. I had much less damage to the driver's side two doors, rear wheel and rear quarter and the cost to repair was almost $30k.
While I agree with you on the PCCB, I think the night vision plays an important role in specific driving conditions. I drive often on very dark roads with a deer population that rivals LA's homeless population. I can't remember how many times I have been warned of an animal that might have hit...
This was on my 2021 Taycan, I took them off and they now reside on my 2024 Taycan. They are durable, look almost OEM and most importantly, they do the job.
I hit a bird at 145mph in my GT3 a couple years back. My front center grille was demolished but it did the job - bird disintegrated through it. I replaced the grill myself for $90. Every Taycan and 911 should leave the factory with grills. In 2014 (before I knew better) an object pierced the...
While you are at it, I suggest screens for your front cooling condensers. A pebble or other road hazard here can do a lot of damage. I use Zunnsport on my Taycan and my previous 911's. Another stellar engineering design from PAG - no road hazard protection.
The 1979 gas prices were about the same (inflation adjusted). At least folks are not waiting in gas lines, only to be rationed at the pump to 5 gallons.
Sometimes, there is no solution. Anatomy plays a very important part. I could not get comfortable in the 18 way seats, but the 14 were good. There have been plenty of seats that simply hurt after an hour or two. At this point, you can either keep trying for the right settings or move on. I once...
Here is what I would do as I wait for the workshop visit:
1) Reset the PCM using the two finger method. This may clear up the gremlins
2) I assume the phone app was working and now isn't. Check to see that you are not in the privacy mode. This can be checked via the PCM. Do this after...
I would not know as I am not a "T-brand peeps". I will tell you this - I have been a Taycan owner for over 5 1/2 years now. I have owned two different models and I would never own this car again. It has not met my expectations. I dismissed the first experience as "early adopter" issues. I have...
I don't know how many folks here currently own or lease both a Taycan and Tesla (I do), but if one characterizes a Tesla as old and outdated, then the Taycan is
I view it more of shared warranty cost. IMO, the most important part of this inspection is the drain lines and drain plugs. If this service is not performed and water accumulates and infiltrates a critical component, your warranty may be and probably will be denied.
The battery tray drain plugs...
What the dealers charge for warranty repairs does not equal payment from the OEM. If I had to guess, it would be that these charges are billed at full retail cost. Why, so the battery manufacturer gets hosed.
It looks misaligned to me. If the passenger side of the frunk lid is pulled closer to the windshield, that should do the trick with offsetting lowering of the driver side. Think of it rotating on the emblem. The left facing arrow comes up 1mm or 2mm and the left comes down to offset. It should...
I don't want to hijack this thread, but a question lingers. Will PAG kill the Taycan altogether. With 16k units sold WW in 2025, the question begs to be asked. I have no knowledge of B/E sales (assuming PAG has already written off all its initial EV investment), but 16k units does not seem to...
