Shorter trip a little over 300 miles one way from St. Marys to Snellville, Ga. for a New Year’s party. Left with 282 mile range @ 100%. Interestingly within 10 miles (no highway yet) I was down to 233 miles, the outside temp was around 50 degrees. Wanted to arrive with 50% SOC to allow for driving around a bit while there, so stopped twice to charge.
While in Snellville we went to a Top Golf in Buford that had around 15 Shell 2nd level chargers throughout the parking lot. Plugged in while we were there and added 40 miles of range while we hit golf balls.
Wasn’t as smooth on the way home, a Toyota Corolla cut over into my lane and almost caused an accident. Luckily I reacted as fast as an old man can and the Porsche made me look like I knew what I was doing!
Again the car was smooth and effortless on the trip. Have almost 13,000 trouble free miles and have had the Charging cable and Thermal Management Control Unit (WPS9) recalls completed. They did not have parts for the brake hose recall, but inspected the cables and found no wear or damage. Said it before that it’s hard to wipe the smile off my face every time I drive!
- EA in Cordele 350 - got 257 kW and only stayed long enough to use the restrooms
- EA near Stockbridge 350 - got 245 kW and left in 15 min

- EA Cordele 350 - the same plug we used on the way up didn’t work on the way home. Moved the car to another location and charged with no problem with a high rate of 258 kW.
- Circle K in Waycross (Shell) 180 - Could have got home with 20 miles of range remaining, but needed a restroom break and I’m not ‘Out of Spec’ confident yet. The first unit failed twice and I moved to another and got 175 kW rate on a quick 10 minute stop.
