Transmission failure - had to flatbed it

Got the transmission failure error that refused to go away after repeatedly locking unlocking or reboots. Called Porsche and they had a tow truck come in. The vehicle would only shift to Neutral. The tow truck guy could not roll the car out of garage in Neutral either as the rear wheels were locked. What a mess. Vehicle finally with the dealer now. They say they will get to it when they get to it. My fourth Porsche after eight years and I have maybe driven it five times max and put on 250 miles. This is not the Porsche I know

Nothing empirical, but it does seem like some cars have succession ls of faults and others not many.

Will do. Dealership says it will take a DME (computer) replacement as they could not get the transmission to reset. They are, however, not sure that this will fix the issue but this is what they will try first. They have set me up with a loaner for 2/26 just incase which is two weeks from now. It sure looks like that the vehicle will spend more time in the garage being fixed than me actually driving it....for now. I hope they get the replacement DME in quickly and this is a one time glitch

Already had two times this problem in less than 30.000 km. The first time in April 2022, they replaced the oil pump and others parts and know my car is block as the dealership since February 2025 same problem and they refuse to repair. Seems to be normal for Porsche that a gearbox broke every 15.000km. Could you please let me know what feedback they give you.

Sorry totally forgot to update everyone. It’s been a cluster-f. It’s now April and the vehicle is still at the dealership. Two DMEs later that they could not program and now awaiting for a new transmission as recommended by engineers from Porsche Germany. PCNA offered me a cash and keep offer which was substantial that I refused. The car is now being bought back as a lemon by PCNA regardless of when they can or cannot fix. I signed the buy back paperwork earlier today. Done with Taycans and can’t take this level of stress
