Turning off the 12v cigarette lighter socket (and USB C) sooner

Hi everyone, I'm very excited to just have purchase my first Porsche, a Taycan 4S.

I was installing a dashcam, but noticed that the power to the 12v cigarette lighter socket and the USB C plug stays on even after the car turns off.

I read in the forum here that it stays on for 30 min and then shuts off. Is there a way to shut the power to that as soon as I turn off the car?

It stays at certain time. You could not turn it off as far as I learn.

Don't think you can unless access to PIWIS opens an opportunity. Suggest not to meddle.

Does your car not come with pre-wiring for dashcam front / rear (if new car then $0 cost option) and so you should use that.

Best way to change that is to have your dash cam hardwired to the fuse box and use one of the unused fuse slots that turns its power off when the car is powered off.

My car is CPO, so I don't think I have this option. But I've never seen this option in any of the cars I shopped for. Is that an option for the US market?

I have the glass roof from the premium package. Where are the ports? I couldn't find any...thanks

I've the metal roof – so not sure – but think they are buried inside the ceiling light console in the front and somewhere in the boot/trunk door in the rear. I'm fairly sure there are more detailed postings about it in the forum.

Hi, I have a glass roof on my Taycan 2021, and unfortunately the power to the 12v cigarette lighter socket and the 4 x USB C plug stays always on even after the car turns off, all the time, there is no timer that shutdown the usb ports charge after a certain period of time.
